A biobank is a database storage of DNA and serums provided by the general public and patients. BioBank Japan, the leading biobank in Japan, was established in 2003 within the Institute of Medical Science of the University of Tokyo (Minato-ku, Tokyo). In the firm and solid building, DNA, serum/plasma and tissues, and other samples are stored under our tight security, and used for studies that have undergone strict reviews.
