On Tuesday, May 27, a five-member healthcare delegation from Enterprise Singapore (ESG), a government agency under Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI), visited BioBank Japan (BBJ). The delegation included Dr. Clarice CHEN, Director of Healthcare and Biomedical, and Dr. Sock Yue THONG, Precision Medicine & Medtech, Deputy Director.

The group received an overview of BBJ from Dr. Koichi Matsuda, Director of BBJ, and Dr. Takayuki Morisaki, Head of the Office of BBJ, followed by a discussion on the implementation of personalized medicine in both countries. The visit also included a tour of BBJ’s DNA and serum storage facilities.

The BBJ welcomes visitors from divers backgrounds, including government officials, personnel from research and educational institutions, private companies, patient advocacy groups, and students.
